Lahore Traffic Police instructed to handcuff violators

LAHORE: The traffic police personnel in Lahore have been directed to handcuff the violators of traffic rules and parking laws even before case registrations.

The CTO Lahore Athar Waheed has instructed every sector in-charge and the circle officer to carry handcuffs at all times.

Violators will be handcuffed on the spot and handed over to the local police for further action.

A video of traffic wardens using handcuffs on violators has also surfaced, showcasing the implementation of these new measures.

The directive was issued to curb illegal parking and encroachments in the city.
