The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has filed First Information Reports (FIRs) against the proprietors of four unapproved housing schemes, according to a spokesman for the RDA on Tuesday.

The spokesperson disclosed that the Chakri police station had filed First Information Reports (FIRs) against Arshad Mehmood Rahi, Nabeel Shahzad, Azhar Ali Khan, Saeed Rizwi, Muhammad Arshad Safi, and Haq Nawaz.

Legal action has also been taken by the MP&TE Directorate against the promotion and advertising of illicit housing developments. The spokesperson stated that prior to the filing of formal complaints, the authorities had sent letters to these illegal housing developments.
He went on to say that it is unlawful to start a housing scheme, apartment building, commercial building, or other construction without first receiving an RDA clearance and a NOC.
