LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif launched a mobile application “Maryam Ki Dastak App” earlier this week aimed at providing various government services to citizens at their doorsteps.
As per the details, in the first phase, citizens can get 10 services at their doorstep through the ‘Maryam Ki Dastak App’. These services include domicile, e-stamping, birth certificate, death certificate, marriage certificate, divorce certificate, motor vehicle transfer, property tax, token tax and new vehicle registration.
Apart from mobile app, citizens can order services through web portal, or call centre 1202.
After placing the order by the citizens Dastak app will send a government approved representative to the given address to provide the required service to the citizen. Dastak representative will ensure delivery of documents from application form to citizens’ doorstep.
The applicant will need to provide the original application form A, two photographs of the child, and the original birth certificate issued by the hospital, a copy of the applicant’s CNIC, a copy of the vaccination card and copies of the parents’ and grandparents’ CNICs.
It is important to obtain a birth certificate from the Union Council as it is proof of the child’s birth. The certificate is later used to obtain B Form from NADRA and other services.
Citizens can avail this service at the doorstep by paying a specified amount as application fee. According to the official website of Knock, the application fee for birth certificate is Rs 1,200.
