LAHORE: The Punjab government has launched the ”Maryam Ki Dastak” program in 32 districts across the province. The decision to extend the programme was taken on the directives of CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz.
During a progress review meeting in Lahore, Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Chairman Faisal Yousaf said that the program aims to improve service delivery through a proper channel of trained representatives, providing a more effective and citizen-friendly experience.
Moreover, the PITB Chairman stated that the program underscores the government’s commitment to accessible, transparent, and technology-driven public service delivery.
The programme will now be operational in 10 new districts, including Rahim Yar Khan, Vehari, Lodhran, Toba Tek Singh, Layyah, Rajanpur, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Gujrat, and Khushab.
The program offers more than 65 government through which residents can be facilitated directly at their doorsteps, reducing the visits to government offices and ensuring greater convenience.
Previously, Dastak services were only available in major districts, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, and Sargodha.
Additionally, a separate helpline 1201 has been created to facilitate the residents which also serves as a problem solver.
Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz’s commitment to the nation has served as an opportunity for hundreds of citizens of Punjab.
