Massive fire breaks out in Sector H-12 forest in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: A massive fire broke out on Tuesday in the forest in Sector H-12 of Islamabad.

While fire has reached the surroundings of NUST University.

According to rescue team, fire is spreading speedily while more fire brigades have been called to douse the blaze.

Taking notice of forest fire in the capital, PM Shehbaz Sharif directed the Capital Development Authority to take emergency measures.

The prime minister stressed immediate steps to evacuate the people from the affected area.

He directed the mobilization of fire brigade on an urgent basis immediately to extinguish the fire.

He also urged the Ministry of Climate Change to present a comprehensive strategy to prevent such incidents in Islamabad and Margalla hills in the future.
