ISLAMABAD: PM Shehbaz Sharif directed authorities to provide two helicopters to extinguish fire at the Ali Jaan Kapraai area of Chakesar tehsil in Shangla district.
PM Shehbaz immediately approved the request of the district administration and subsidiaries of KP for helicopter provision.
He said that air support should be arranged immediately to bring normalcy in the area.

PM asked to take instant action at the request of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
Meanwhile, the district administration, forest department and Rescue 1122 are engaged in firefighting operations.
Earlier, the fire broke out in the Shangla forest due to unknown reasons.
The intensity also engulfed the nearby area where the settlers were evacuated.
Fire tenders and locals rushed to the area to put out the blaze while more teams were on the way.
While the rescue mission was underway, rescue personnel claimed that efforts to put out the fire in the mountains had been stepped up.
