Maulana Fazlur Rehman joins February 8 strike call

ISDLAMABAD: Maulana Fazlur Rehman announces support for the February 8th strike, a major success of the opposition alliance in the anti-government movement, Maulana Fazlur Rehman has decided to cancel all his rallies in support of the opposition alliance.

According to the details, the opposition alliance has achieved significant success in the anti-government movement.

The opposition alliance, led by Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Mahmood Khan Achakzai, announced a nationwide strike on February 8, which has also been supported by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

On Friday, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman spoke to the media after a meeting.

Mahmud Khan Achakzai said that we all say that on February 8, the public mandate was stolen by force, the people were oppressed, black laws including the PECA Act were brought and the wings of the judiciary were clipped.

He said that the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) wanted to hold rallies while we wanted to hold a wheel jam. Mahmood Khan Achakzai said that we all condemn terrorism, Prime Minister Shehbaz did a good job by banning Basant.

He was asked by a journalist that the Prime Minister wants to come to you, have you taken Maulana Fazlur Rehman into confidence, to which Mahmood Khan Achakzai said that if the Prime Minister wants to come to me, it is good, if the Prime Minister comes, we will talk to him.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that we support the opposition’s wheel jam and cancel our rallies and processions on February 8.

He said that we support the wheel jam while we will hold our rallies and processions after February 8, by-elections are also being stolen, our position is the same that we demand new elections.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that we express deep regret over the Islamabad blast. Criticizing the government’s actions, he said that democracy is losing its case due to the government’s legislation. Whenever the country is in trouble, public opinion is the one that gets it out of trouble.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser said that he strongly condemns the Islamabad blast.

The Prime Minister came to the House and presented a policy of terrorism. He said that they want to implement the National Action Plan, but our words are not being taken seriously. The founding chairman of PTI should be allowed to meet the doctors.
