PESHAWAR: JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman condemned and expressed regret over the martyrdom of Sheikh Hadith, former MPA, member of the Central Majlis Shura JUI Maulana Idrees.

According to a private TV, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said in his statement that Sheikh Hadith is heartbroken by the news of Maulana Idrees’ martyrdom, Maulana Idrees has paid the price for defending Islam and Pakistan.

The martyrdom of the white-bearded religious scholar is an attack on those who speak of the Quran, Sunnah and Pakistan. Ulema are selfless ideological protectors of Pakistan, but there is no provision for their protection. Maulana Idrees Shaheed always spoke of peace, unfortunately, today he himself has become a victim of unrest. Maulana Idrees was a high-ranking scholar, a articulate preacher and a thoughtful politician.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Maulana Shaheed spent his entire life in the propagation and service of religion. He had a long-standing relationship of trust, compassion and friendship with Maulana Shaheed over the years. The brutal oppressors deprived us of a sincere friend and loyal leader.

Maulana was a man of opinion and took a position based on evidence in political matters, including religious matters. Every JUI worker, including the Duroodawar of Darul Uloom Haqqania and thousands of students, is saddened. May Allah accept Maulana’s martyrdom and make his services a continuous charity for them.
