Met office predicts no rain on Eid-ul-Adha 2024

ISLAMABAD: Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz on Monday predicted that the mercury would continue to rise with each passing day and dry and hot office weather has been forecast for Eid-ul-Adha days across the country where citizens Stay indoors to prevent heat stroke.

Talking to a private news channel, he said that the daytime and nighttime temperatures will not change across the country, adding that next week will be the hottest week of the year.

A severe heatwave is gripping parts of Pakistan, with temperatures reaching as high as 50°C in some areas. He said that the mercury is constantly rising, causing discomfort and health concerns to the citizens.

He said the Met Office has already issued a warning that most of the country’s plains will be affected by a severe heatwave, with dusty winds and thundershowers in some areas on Monday.

However, Gilgit-Baltistan can expect partly cloudy weather with scattered showers and gusty winds.

Citizens are advised to take precautions to stay cool and hydrated, especially during the hottest part of the day.

He stressed that the heatwave is expected to continue in the coming days, making it necessary to take necessary measures to protect oneself from the scorching temperatures.
