Mild earthquake hits Quetta, no casualties reported

QUETTA: Earlier on Monday, tremors were felt in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.

While the tremors caused panic among residents, who came out of their homes to offer prayers, there were no reports of casualties or damage.

According to the National Seismic Monitoring Center in Islamabad, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 3.7 on the Richter scale. The depth of the earthquake was recorded at 19 kilometres, and the epicentre was 19 kilometres west of Quetta.

Officials have confirmed that no casualties or damage have been reported after the earthquake.
