ROME: Italy is one of the most sought-after academic destinations in Europe, favored for its rich culture, beautiful natural scenery, grandfather attractions, and world-renowned universities.

Any Pakistani citizen planning to study in Italy must, therefore, fulfill the requirement of obtaining a student visa before traveling to Italy.

It is mandatory that, for the Italian student visa, Pakistani students submit their application in person at the Italian Consulate to the consulate of the country they will enter first or where they will spend the longest time for the purpose of visiting more than one European country.

Minimum Bank Statement Required

Proof of financial means is an important aspect of the visa application process to show solid evidence that the student can largely support himself.

This is usually done by producing a bank statement not older than 30 days from the date of application. The amount is determined by the number of days of stay, for example, an amount of 30 Euros daily, which expresses approximately 900 Euros per month for the study period.

The money to be shown on Bank Visa needs to amount to approximately rupees 2,58,474 for a 30-day study based on the exchange rate of Euro to rupee, being 287.19 Euro = Rs. This ensures that students are able to cover living expenses without needing to rely on job income.

A number of documents are needed to apply for the Italian student visa, including an entry visa application form, a recent passport-size photograph, a valid passport for at least three months, proof of enrollment or pre-enrollment in a university course, accommodation in Italy, proof of sufficient funds for stay in Italy, health and medical insurance, and proof of sufficient knowledge of either the Italian or English language, depending on the choice of the program.

Ensuring that all documentation regarding funds is in order is crucial to a successful visa application, allowing that way for students to visit educational opportunities in Italy free of worries concerning financial resources.
