Security forces kill 5 Khwarij in IBO Khyber District : ISPR

PESHAWAR: On January 17, 2025, in the area of Tirah district Khyber, of Pakistan security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation against a bunch of khwarij.

According to a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation has been highly successful, with the conducted operation engaging khwarij in their base, reportedly killing five militants including their ring leader Abidullah  Turab.

One khwarij was, however, caught during the operation. The militants killed were responsible for many terrorist activities in the area, including attacks on security forces and killing innocent civilians.

Security forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the khwarij which may disrupt their terror activities. The security forces have also launched a sanitization operation to accomplish the endeavor of cleaning the area of any remaining khwarij and, by so doing, continue to pursue the efforts of wiping out terrorism in Pakistan.
