ISLAMABAD: Pakistani citizens must obtain a short-term Schengen visa to enter the European country of Sweden for tourism purposes.

Coastal islands and inland lakes, as well as vast boreal forests and snowy mountains make the country a top tourist destination.

The Embassy of Sweden is processing Schengen visa applications for citizens of Pakistan and Afghanistan and legal residents of Pakistan.

Citizens and residents of Pakistan who wish to apply for a Schengen visa to visit Sweden will send their application to VFS Global in Bangkok, Yangon, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, Cebu, Jakarta, Bali from June 19. . , Phnom Penh, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore.

Minimum Bank Balance for Sweden Visa

Applicants are required to submit bank statements showing transactions for the past six months with the visa application to prove that they have sufficient funds to support their stay in Sweden.

The minimum daily amount required for living expenses in Sweden is as follows. The applicant is required to show an amount sufficient for the days he intends to spend there:

Applicants must have EUR 2,400 in their bank account if their stay in Sweden is 30 days. As of June 17, 2024, one Euro is equal to 298.24 Pakistani Rupees.

Therefore, applicants must have a minimum of Rs 715,776 in bank accounts for their stay in the European country.
