ABU DHABI: The UAE has set new income levels for residents who want to obtain a visit visa for their first-degree relatives, second- or third-degree relatives, or friends.
The new guidelines state that the monthly guarantor income should be over a certain limit depending on the visitor type.
If hosting a first-degree relative, the guarantor should have a minimum monthly income of Dh4,000.
But if the visitor is a second or third-degree relative, the guarantor should earn a minimum of Dh8,000 per month.
If the visitor is a resident’s friend, the guarantor’s monthly income should be a minimum of Dh15,000.
This is coming as the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has authorized new additions and amendments to the regulations on entry visa for foreign nationals.
The country in the Gulf has introduced four new visit visa types for persons who are experts in artificial intelligence, entertainment, events, cruise ships, and leisure boats, the WAM news reports.
The UAE also introduced a humanitarian residence permit with one-year validity. The duration can be renewed, but it is subject to the relevant authority’s discretion.
“Additionally, a residence permit for a foreign divorcee or widow is issued for one year, which can be renewed for an equivalent duration, depending on specified conditions,” stated the report.
