Ministry of Religious Affairs launches 24/7 helpline for Pakistan Hajj pilgrims amid rising tensions

ISLAMABAD: As per the instructions by Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, a dedicated helpline is in place to assist pilgrims with information about the Hajj flight details.

According to Abdul Rehman Cheema, host of Radio Pakistan in Makkah, pilgrims can use the helpline by calling 051-9216980 for any information related to their flights.

Helpline Numbers 

The helpline will operate 24/7 in two shifts under the oversight of JameelurRehman, the Director of IT, under government policy. For assistance, individuals may contact Hafiz Majid with the first shift at +92 332 4509868 and Assistant Director Malik Asad with the second shift at +92 321 5365023.

The Ministry has also advised all pilgrims to keep consistent communication with their Haji Camps for information and updates.

Earlier, due to the rising tensions between Pakistan and India, the government of Pakistan closed its airspace, limiting flight operations, due to which several people missed their flights.

Additionally, to ensure public safety, airports in major cities of Pakistan were closed, including Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi airports.
