Mobilink Bank CEO Ghazanfar Azzam resigns after 12-Year-Tenure

ISLAMABAD: President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mobilink Bank, Ghazanfar Azzam, has decided to step down after 12- years of service, here on Monday.

Under his leadership, Mobilink Bank has experienced remarkable growth and consolidated its position as a leader in the microfinance sector.

It helped the bank undergo rapid digital transformation to strengthen its financial stability, business flexibility, and future readiness.

The Board of Directors (BoD) has appointed Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary, the current Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Mobilink Bank, as the interim CEO as of April 29, 2024. This appointment is subject to the approval of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The board has begun a search for an incoming CEO who will continue to advance the bank’s mission and ensure long-term success.

Chairman BoD, Mobilink Bank, and CEO JAZZ, Aamir Ibrahim, said: “We thank Ghazanfar for his valuable services over the years and wish him the best. We are committed to transitioning and maintaining the high standards of service and integrity that our customers have come to expect from Mobilink Bank.
