Mortar shell explosion takes life of three children in Bannu

BANNU: In a tragic incident, a motor shell burst in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing at least three children on Monday.

According to the data, seminary students were playing with the shell when the tragedy happened in Bannu’s Sintanga Jani Khel neighborhood.

According to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police officers, three people were instantly killed when the shell detonated in their hands.

Last week, A live mortar shell exploded in Lower Kurram Tehsil of KP on Saturday, killing at least three children and injuring five more. The tragedy occurred in a hamlet region in Lower Kurram Tehsil and left five other youngsters gravely injured.

A woman and her four children perished earlier in September when a mortar shell hit their house in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), a tribal area in North Waziristan.

The event occurred in the district’s Garyom neighborhood and left two other family members gravely injured.

Early in the morning, a mortar shell struck the home of Noor Gul, a local tribesman. Noor Gul’s wife and four children—Resham, Janshada, Mujahid, and Noor Kalam were present in the house at the time mortar strikes the house, their room took the brunt of the mortar’s explosion, instantly killing the family by the impact’s sheer ferocity.
