HYDERABAD: Police rescued a woman and her daughter a day after they were buried alive in a solid wall over a property dispute in Hyderabad’s Liaqatpur area.
According to details, local police recovered both mother and daughter buried alive by the woman’s nephews, who are now on the run.
The accused confined their aunt Masooma Tasleem and her daughter Dua into the room and sealed the door with a sturdy wall over a property dispute at a home local in Unit Number 5 of Liaqatpur in Hyderabad.
The nephews had fled the scene after barricading the mother and daughter inside the house.
As soon as the information was received, the team of B Section police station reached the house, broke the wall, and took out the woman and her daughter alive. Both mother and daughter were shifted to the hospital for medical attention.
The Police spokesperson said that according to a preliminary investigation, the women were buried behind the wall for a day. The spokesperson added that the police are now conducting raids to arrest the accused involved in the incident.
