Motorways closed as dense fog engulfs several regions

LAHORE: Normal life is affected due to dense fog in the plains of Punjab, Upper Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Due to dense fog, the Motorway M1 from Swabi to Peshawar, M2 from Thokar Niaz Baig to Balkh, M3 from Faizpur to Samundri and M4 from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad have been closed.

In addition, M5 from Sher Shah to Sukkur and M11 from Lahore to Sambrial are closed.

On the other hand, regarding the cold, the Meteorological Department says that the lowest temperature in the country during the last 24 hours was recorded in Skardu at minus 12 degrees Celsius.

In addition, the minimum temperature in Karachi was 9 degrees Celsius.
