KARACHI: MQM Pakistan has demanded the resignations of President Asif Ali Zardari and the top leadership of the PPP.

In the Sindh Assembly session, Opposition Leader Ali Khorshidi criticized the ruling PPP and said that there is electricity, no gas, and no water. The rights of the people of Sindh are being violated.

The opposition leader said that Bilawal Bhutto made a speech against the MQM in the National Assembly and asked them to resign from their ministries.

If you bring President Zardari’s resignation over the atrocities committed in Sindh and the PPP leadership resigns, in return, the MQM will resign from both its ministries.

The MQM leader said that the PPP is not popular, and the people do not vote for the PPP on the basis of performance. The PPP got the government because of the electables.

If you remove certain personalities, the PPP cannot win in certain areas. If people like Bijarani, Mehr, and Sheikh contest the elections independently, the PPP’s majority will disappear.

He said that the PPP does not mince words on the real problems of Sindh. The PPP fought the problems of Sindh, but who stopped it? The PPP came out on the issue of IRSA, and the MQM is with it.

The opposition leader said that the PPP is not a milk powder; there is a petition against it, too. The Sindh government does not have a policy to solve the problems; the problems will not be solved without the transfer of powers.

Ali Khorshidi said on the budget that the budget was approved, but there was no discussion on the budget. This budget is taking the people of Sindh into a deficit. If this is the best budget, then what is a bad budget? Sindh’s money is being spent in other provinces.

The government’s insight seems to be missing. It does not matter if the coffers are empty; the government’s insight should not be empty.

The MQM took 15 billion rupees from the federal government, which the PPP government has been withholding for two years.

If the Sindh government gives 674 billion rupees to its mayor, then the problems of Karachi will be solved. But there is a business in Sindh, and no work will be done without giving money.

The MQM leader further said that the PPP demands a 50 percent salary increase from the federal government, but how much has it itself increased the salary in the Sindh budget?
