KARACHI: Renowned religious scholar and former chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Mufti Muneebur Rehman, has been hospitalized after being diagnosed with dengue fever in Karachi on Tuesday.
Rehman was shifted to a private hospital in Karachi, where he is currently receiving medical care. Hospital sources said that his condition is being monitored by medical specialists.
Political and social figures, along with religious leaders, have expressed concern and prayed for his early recovery.
Mufti Muneebur Rehman served as the chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee from October 1998 to December 2020 and remains one of Pakistan’s most prominent religious scholars.
During his tenure, Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman became a widely respected figure in the country for his religious guidance and leadership in Islamic affairs.
