Mufti Taqi Usmani elected unopposed as president of Wifaq-ul-Madaris for the second time

ISLAMABAD: A joint election meeting of Wifaq-ul-Madaris was held at Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi in which renowned religious scholar Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani was elected unopposed as president of Wifaq-ul-Madaris for the second time.

According to the announcement, Maulana Muhammad Hanif Jalandhari was elected unopposed as Nazim-e-Ala for the seventh consecutive time. According to the announcement, Maulana Fazlur Rehman proposed the name of Mufti Taqi Usmani for the president, Maulana Fazlur Rehman proposed the name of Maulana Hanif Jalandhari for the Nazim-e-Ala.

According to the announcement, more than 1,000 members unanimously expressed confidence in the leadership in the meeting. Mufti Taqi Usmani and Maulana Hanif Jalandhari will lead Wifaq-ul-Madaris for 5 years.

JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, while congratulating the newly elected office bearers of the Federation of Islamic Schools, said that the new leadership will play an effective role in the unity of the schools and the promotion of Islamic values. Successful movements move forward on principles, strategies and clear policies. Differences of opinion should remain within the realm of respect, argument and dialogue.
