ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq has written a fourth letter to Chief Whip Amir Dogar.
On the instructions of Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the National Assembly Secretariat has sent another letter to Chief Whip of the Opposition Amir Dogar.
The letter has requested to provide complete details of the cases pending in the courts related to the former opposition leader.
According to the National Assembly Secretariat, this is the fourth time that such a letter has been sent; letters have been sent earlier on November 19, December 5, and December 19, 2025.
The Secretariat says that awareness of the current status of the cases under hearing is essential to meet the constitutional and legal requirements of the appointment of the opposition leader, while in some cases, the National Assembly Secretariat itself is also a party.
According to the National Assembly spokesperson, the process of appointing the opposition leader will be taken forward in accordance with the constitution and law only after receiving the required information.
