ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has warned Pakistanis living abroad, especially in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), against fraud.

In an important message issued by the NADRA spokesperson, it was said that some novice and fraudulent elements are robbing naive citizens by offering services related to identity cards.

He said that these elements charge a fee of 300 to 500 dirhams by pretending to be NADRA franchisees and also obtain sensitive data of citizens.

The spokesperson directed that beware of such fraudulent elements and report them on the NADRA complaints portal which is: https://complaints.nadra.gov.pk

In addition, those Pakistanis living abroad who want to get their NICOP or other identity documents made, renewed or amended should only use the PakID mobile app, visit the Pakistani consulate in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and visit the NADRA office for identity documents if they come to Pakistan.

Citizens using NADRA’s Pak ID app do not have to queue or wait, they get all the services and facilities on their mobile phones.

The features of the app are:

  • Renewal or modification of identity card, NAICOP and POC
  • Facility to view details of family members for free
  • All digital documents are stored in one place in ID Vault
  • Facility to create B-Form and Family Registration Certificate
  • Biometric verification for passport, succession certificate and transfer of Islamabad registered vehicles
