LAHORE: Leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), Nawaz Sharif, has underscored the need for foundational work on an economic emergency to revive the country’s economy. According to sources, Nawaz Sharif expressed particular interest in the progress of the Information Technology (IT) sector during consultations with the economic team.

During the discussions, the economic team highlighted the potential for creating hundreds of thousands of jobs for the youth through immediate development in the IT and telecommunication sectors.

Nawaz Sharif issued directives to the economic team, outlining various goals and instructing them to proceed with comprehensive project planning. He emphasized the urgent need for the economic team to work on the fundamental principles of an economic emergency to address and rejuvenate Pakistan’s economy.

Sources suggest that the economic team briefed Nawaz Sharif on the economic promises outlined in the party manifesto. The team provided a detailed briefing on the commitments related to the economy mentioned in the party charter.
