Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supremo Nawaz Sharif has called upon all political parties in the country to pursue their political objectives without jeopardizing Pakistan’s stability and the democratic system. He emphasized his willingness to collaborate with like-minded individuals who share his vision of a prosperous and democratic nation.

Addressing members of his parliamentary party, Sharif reminisced about his efforts to reconcile with opponents following the 2013 elections, which he won with a decisive majority. He highlighted gestures such as visiting injured PTI leader Imran Khan in the hospital and suspending his election campaign for a day to demonstrate his commitment to national unity.

Sharif underscored the importance of constructive and responsible political discourse, urging parties to respect the people’s mandate and uphold constitutional principles. He reiterated his dedication to strengthening Pakistan’s democratic institutions and hoped for broader support in this endeavor.

Meanwhile, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif criticized the president’s failure to convene the assembly session, labeling it as a violation of constitutional duties. He accused the president of succumbing to pressure from Imran Khan Niazi and undermining constitutional norms by obstructing the oath-taking process for elected members.
