ISLAMABAD: The government established a fuel-saving policy, which led to changes in passport office hours throughout Pakistan.
The Department of Immigration and Passports has officially introduced a four-day work week for its offices. Under the new schedule, passport offices will remain open from Monday to Thursday and will be closed from Friday to Sunday.
Exceptions and Routine Operations: Regional passport offices will maintain their 24-hour service operations without any alterations. The Swift Service Centres will continue their existing shift system to maintain normal business activities.
The revised schedule received approval from the Director General of Immigration and Passports, which supports the government’s fuel-saving and austerity initiatives.
