New policy announced for govt jobs

KARACHI: The Sindh government has introduced a new policy for public-sector employment whereby candidates will receive five additional points based on their educational scores.

According to the information provided, the newly announced policy ensures that in the selection process, greater emphasis will be placed on the candidate’s academic record.

Under the policy, candidates applying for Grades 5 to 15 will be given five additional points, provided they have at least 50% marks in their academic record.

Apart from this, candidates with an Intermediate qualification will be awarded five additional points in the test; likewise, applicants appearing under the IBA Sukkur testing will also be guaranteed five additional points during the assessment.

The system will be applied to all departments, as confirmed by the Services, General Administration, and Coordination Department. The notification bears the signature of Section Officer Faizan Qazi.
