Nikkah ceremony of Nawaz Sharif’s grandson [PICTURES]

LAHORE: The wedding festivities of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s grandson, Zaid Hussain Nawaz, have commenced at their Lahore’s Jati Umra residence.

Zaid Hussain, the son of Hussain Nawaz, tied the knot with Aiman Habibi, daughter of renowned industrialist Sheikh Habib-ur-Rehman.

The wedding started with the nikkah ceremony, held on December 25 at Jati Umra along with the Henna ceremony which was attended by 500 guests. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan performed Qawwali on the occasion.

The grand reception, also known as the Valima, will take place on December 29 at a farmhouse in Jati Umra with 700 local and international guests invited.

Special security arrangements have been made by Punjab Police in and around Jati Umrah following the official orders.

As per sources, the wedding celebrations will see guests from various countries, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, India, the United States, and many others.

The Nikah ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, former CM Hamza Shehbaz, Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif, Merriyum Aurangzeb, and other members of the Sharif family and politicians.
