ISLAMABAD: If you are thinking of applying for a UK visa from Pakistan and are confused, then stop worrying now! Because obtaining a British visa is no longer as complicated as it seems, according to the UK High Commissioner to Pakistan.

In an official video posted on her X (formerly Twitter) account, the Commissioner stated that now any citizen can apply for a visa sitting at home without the help of a visa agent.

An easy way to apply for a UK visa

Using the official website: First, go to the official website of the United Kingdom gov.uk and select the option “Apply to come to the UK”.

Visa type: The first step is to check which visa you need. Usually, the ‘Standard Visitor Visa’ is selected for tourism or visiting family. Remember that you can also apply 3 months before your trip.

Online Form: Now the visa form is not a big paper document, but a simple online form that consists of various sections. It asks for your travel plans, financial details, and background. You can save it at any time and complete it later.

Biometric Appointment: After completing the online form and paying the fee, you will need to book an appointment at your nearest Visa Facilitation Service Centre (VFS Global).

There are centres across Pakistan. Only your fingerprints and biometrics will be taken there, while you can bring your passport back home with you.

Officials say that all decisions are made by UK Visas and Immigration based on the information you provide. So, be confident and apply today.
