ISLAMABAD: Work places, businesses have resumed across Pakistan on Thursday as the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays came to an end.

Offices, businesses, and banks reopened, marking a return to normal routine after a three-day official holiday from March 31 to April 2, which was extended for many due to the weekend.

As banks reopened after five days, a heavy rush of customers was witnessed. However, attendance in offices remained low on the first working day after Eid, as many employees extended their leave. Schools have not yet reopened and will resume classes next week.

Meanwhile, people who traveled out of the city to celebrate Eid with their families have started returning home. Transport hubs saw increased activity as buses and trains brought back holiday travelers.

During the Eid al-Fitr holidays, parks and recreational spots across the country saw an overwhelming turnout as families came out to celebrate.

In Islamabad, popular spots like Lake View Park, Shakarparian, Daman-e-Koh, Faisal Mosque, Jasmine Garden, and Japanese Children’s Park attracted thousands of visitors.

Similarly, in Rawalpindi, parks such as Nawaz Sharif Park, Ayub National Park, Family Park, and Jinnah Park remained packed with visitors. However, many citizens expressed concerns over the lack of facilities, overpriced food, and additional parking charges at some locations.
