ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has condemned the Israeli attacks against Iran on Friday, striking its nuclear facilities and military leadership.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said in a post shared on his X handle “Strongly condemn unjustified Israeli attacks on Islamic republic of Iran which is a brazen violation of Iran’s sovereignty.”
“This abhorrent action has shaken foundations of international law as well as conscience of humanity; and gravely undermines regional stability & int’I security”, he added.
Pakistan stands in solidarity with the Government & the people of Iran, the statement reads.
Earlier, After the Israeli airstrikes, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued an important statement, saying that the United States is not involved in Israeli attacks on Iran and its top priority is the protection of US forces in the region.
Tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran, the United States is not involved in these attacks. Our top priority is the protection of US forces deployed in the Middle East, he said.
He added that Israel had informed us that it considers this action necessary to protect its security. President Donald Trump and his administration have taken all necessary steps to protect US forces and we are in constant contact with our regional allies.
The Secretary of State issued a strong warning to Iran, saying that I want to make it clear that Iran should not target US interests or personnel.
