ISLAMABAD: Pakistan categorically rejected the baseless and provocative claims made by Indian leaders during a debate in the Lok Sabha on the so-called “Operation Sindoor” on Wednesday.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said in a statement that these statements reflect a dangerous trend of distorting facts, justifying aggression and escalating conflicts for domestic use.
The world knows that India attacked Pakistan without any credible evidence or a credible investigation into the Pahalgam attack.
The statement said that during the intervening night of May 6 and 7, 2025, innocent men, women and children were martyred as a result of India’s targeting of alleged terror infrastructure, adding that India failed to achieve any of its strategic objectives.
On the other hand, the spokesperson added that Pakistan’s remarkable success in neutralizing Indian fighter jets and military targets is an undeniable fact.
The statement added that instead of misleading their compatriots, Indian leaders would be well advised to acknowledge the losses of their armed forces and accept the active role of a third party in implementing the ceasefire.
The spokesperson said that India did not take advantage of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s immediate offer of a transparent and independent investigation into the Pahalgam incident.
“Instead, it chose the path of war and aggression. It acted as judge, jury and executioner at the same time. In this context, any claim regarding the so-called “Operation Mahadev” is of no importance to us. The statement made by the Indian Home Minister is fabricated, raising serious questions about his statehood.
Is it a mere coincidence that the alleged perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack were killed at the beginning of the Lok Sabha debate?”, the spokesperson asked.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said that the allegations made by the Indian leaders are an attempt to mislead the international community and justify aggression in the region.
The spokesperson said that the world is well aware that India has been repeatedly making false allegations against Pakistan and the recent statements are also a link in this chain.
