ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli decision to block vital humanitarian aid to Gaza during the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson said on Monday, “This latest action is part of a systematic Israeli campaign that has left millions of Palestinians in dire need of humanitarian assistance. It is yet another flagrant violation of international law by the occupying Power, and could jeopardize the ceasefire agreement.”
“We call on the international community to ensure unrestricted humanitarian access to Gaza, and to hold Israel accountable for imposing collective punishment by denying humanitarian aid to millions of civilians. We reiterate our call for the full implementation of the agreement to ensure a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, as well as for the revival of the political process to achieve a two-state solution, with a viable, sovereign Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital.”
