ISLAMABAD: In a major diplomatic move, the Pakistani government has decided to officially recommend US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize 2026.

The Pakistani government says that the Pakistan-India war was averted due to the intervention of US President Trump.

The decision to recommend the Nobel Peace Prize 2026 was made on the decisive diplomatic intervention of President Trump in the recent Pakistan-India crisis.

The Pakistani government has said that the international community saw India’s unprovoked and illegal aggression, which was a serious violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the Indian aggression resulted in the loss of innocent lives, including women and children.

The Pakistani government said that, exercising its fundamental right to self-defense, Pakistan launched Operation Banyan Marsu, which was a decisive military response. It was carried out to re-establish the balance of power and defend regional integrity.

The Pakistani government has said that President Trump’s far-sighted leadership has established diplomatic contacts with Islamabad and New Delhi, President Trump’s strategy has been able to control the rapidly deteriorating situation, and the Pakistani government appreciates President Trump’s sincere offer to help resolve the Kashmir issue.

According to the Pakistani government, the Jammu and Kashmir issue is the center of regional instability, and there will be no lasting peace in South Asia until the Security Council resolutions on the Kashmir issue are implemented.

The Pakistani government says that it hopes President Trump will continue his efforts for regional and global stability, and that Trump will play his role in the Middle East crisis, including the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza and the worsening tension in Iran.

Trump’s Role

It should be remembered that during the war between Pakistan and India last month, Donald Trump himself had announced on his social media platform, Truth Social, on May 10 that Pakistan and India had agreed to a ceasefire.

On Friday, US President Donald Trump, while speaking to the media, said that he should receive the Nobel Prize for ending the war between Pakistan and India, but only liberals receive the Nobel Prize, and these people will not give it to me.
