ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Met Department has forecast heavy monsoon rain in Islamabad, Kashmir, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan from August 14.
The Met Office predicted that from August 18 to 21, rainfall will is likely to lash Kashmir, various districts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
The NDMA has warned of possible flooding in streams and nullahs, as well as the risk of urban flooding in low-lying areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Lahore, Peshawar, and Nowshera. The department also cautioned about potential damage to weak infrastructure and the uprooting of trees. Tourists and travelers have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel during the forecast period.
