Pakistani citizens travelling to UAE now require police verification report

ISLAMABAD: In a recent development, the United Arab Emirates has issued a directive wherein all its citizens necessitating their travel from Pakistan to UAE are required to present police verification reports.

Muhammad Tayyab, the Pakistan Bureau of Immigration’s Director General announced the requirements saying they are applicable to all types of travels to the United Arab Emirates.

Pakistani traveling to the United Arab Emirates will be subject to this verification report that is in line with the authority’s procedures. The order is meant to make travel easy and prevent any inconvenient situations that may occur during the trip.

The order extends to all travel agencies conducting tours to the United Arab Emirates, in the opinion of force, this is a huge improvement for immigration regulation to the country.

Senator Shahadat Awan stated that in the past UAE had placed restrictions of some sort on Pakistani citizens, which was a major point of concern. In further conversation with media officers of the concerned committee, the senator inquired if the UAE restrictions applied to Pakistani nationals were still applicable or had been lifted requesting for an official explanation.

In this case, employment visas were addressed by the secretary of Overseas Pakistanis, Arshad Mahmood, noting that although unskilled workers have been affected in terms of delays, skilled workers are still being issued visas to the UAE.

The Government has been having these discussions with the authorities of the United Arab Emirates in an effort to find these solutions and streamline the travel experience for Pakistani nationals.

It should be recalled that the UAE has put in place a number of reasonably priced alternatives that allow for the standardization of the visa process.
