Palestinian issue can only be resolved through negotiations: Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri

ISLAMABAD: Former Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri said that Israel has caused more harm to the Palestinians than anyone else. He said that Israel’s inhuman atrocities and genocide have shaken the entire world.

He said that the International Criminal Court (ICC) has set an important example by issuing warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Defense Minister.

Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri said that the disgusting face of Israel has been exposed before the world, and now even international human rights organizations are calling Israel a cruel and murderous state.

He said that the world is retreating from open support for Israel, and even the people of Europe and America are now ashamed of Israel’s atrocities. He added that Israel cannot harm human lives anymore because pressure against it has increased at the global level.

According to him, Israel has awakened Muslims from their slumber, just as Modi’s aggressive policies awakened Pakistan. Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri said that the Palestinian issue can only be resolved through negotiations. Hamas has shown wisdom and shown its willingness to hold talks, in which Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt are playing an important advisory role.

He said that the massacre and destruction of Palestinians forced Hamas to take the path of negotiations, because only by stopping the massacre can there be hope for a lasting solution.

He said that a Palestinian state can be established only when both the people and the land remain. Israel was trying to annex the West Bank, but now, world public opinion is changing in favor of Palestine. He was speaking on ABN News’ program Debate @ 8.

He said that voices are also being raised in favor of Palestine in educational institutions and universities around the world. According to the former foreign minister, the negotiation process is long, but it is going in the right direction, and it can yield positive results for the Palestinians.

He said that if the US support ends, Israel’s true face will be revealed to the world. He said that awareness and consciousness in favor of Palestine is now growing among the American people and universities.

Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri said that Israel has a history of breaking agreements, but this time, global pressure and public resistance are stronger.

According to him, the financial assistance of the Western world is sometimes an expression of historical conscience and shame of the past. He said that the Gulf states certainly have defense capabilities but not nuclear power, which is why they are following a cautious policy.

Kasuri said that the consultation of Qatar, Turkey and Egypt has forced Hamas to change its strategy. He said that the global balance is now changing not only in the form of military but also in the form of financial, political, and moral pressure.
