ISLAMABAD: The Embassy of Pakistan in Oman has announced revised passport collection timings and updated fee details for Pakistani citizens residing in Oman.

According to the new schedule, effective from May 1, 2026, processed passports will be available for collection from Sunday to Thursday between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm. The move aims to streamline consular services and reduce crowding.

The embassy has advised applicants to bring their original token along with their old passport when collecting new documents.

Updated fee details have also been issued. For a 36-page passport valid for five years, the normal fee has been set at 12 Omani riyals, while the urgent fee is 19 riyals. For a 10-year passport of the same category, fees start from 17 riyals.

Emphasising the importance of safeguarding travel documents, the embassy warned that penalties will apply in case of passport loss. The fee will be doubled for the first loss and increased up to four times for a second loss. For instance, the cost of a 100-page urgent passport could rise to as much as 208 Omani riyals after a second loss.

The embassy has urged citizens to follow the updated timings to avoid inconvenience and ensure smooth service delivery.
