ISLAMABAD: The national airline (PIA) has taken a major decision to expand flight operations to the UK. According to airline sources, flights to London will be started from March 2026 next year.

According to sources, PIA has got slots for 4 weekly flights at London’s Heathrow Airport.

This will further strengthen air connectivity between Pakistan and the UK. These slots were temporarily given to Turkish Airlines to keep them safe due to the ban in the past.

According to airline sources, PIA made this arrangement to save valuable slots from being lost during the ban. While now these slots have been recovered from Turkish Airlines.

The Heathrow Airport administration has been informed in writing in this regard. The national airline will resume its flights to London from March 2026.

Sources say that the restoration and expansion of London flight operations will not only provide better travel facilities to passengers, but PIA’s revenue is also expected to increase.
