ISLAMABAD: Pakistanis living in the US had dreamed of a hassle-free journey home but the journey of over 6,700 miles is not a smooth one, as the dream is closer to reality.

Pakistan’s aviation minister announced the resumption of direct flights to the US by the national carrier, following the recent resumption of flights to the UK.

With these steps, travel from Pakistan to the world will soon become faster, easier and more convenient than ever before.

The government said that in this regard, progress is already being made in discussions with US aviation authorities, and approval may be forthcoming soon.

This means a smooth, fast journey for thousands of Pakistanis living in North America who have been waiting for hassle-free direct flights for a long time. PIA officials say that the move will significantly increase international travel options and connect Pakistanis to global routes like never before.

The largest airline in the country of 242 million is also working on a new codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways, opening up more destinations and seamless connections for passengers.

The move will improve service quality, offer more flight options, and increase convenience for passengers, marking a significant milestone in Pakistan’s aviation sector.
