ISLAMANAD: The federal government has made an important decision regarding business closing timings by granting an exemption to various commercial sectors until May 31, 2026.
According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, the Prime Minister approved immediate exemption from the previously announced closing timings for all shops, departmental stores, bazaars, markets, and shopping malls across the country.
The notification further stated that bakeries, tandoors, restaurants, and grocery stores will also remain exempt from the restrictions and can operate on all days of the week.
The decision has come into effect immediately and will remain valid until May 31, 2026. The move was made through a partial amendment to the Cabinet Division’s earlier notification issued on April 6, 2026.
