DOHA: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Qatar in Doha and discussed bilateral cooperation in the fields of defense and security.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening and expanding defense cooperation.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Qatar conveyed Qatar’s interest in further deepening the bilateral defense partnership. The situation in Iran and Afghanistan was also discussed in the meeting.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also met with the Minister of State for Foreign Trade of Qatar, in which bilateral trade and economic cooperation were discussed. It was also agreed to convene a joint task force meeting in Ramadan.
A delegation from the Qatar Businessmen Association also met with the Prime Minister. It was agreed to make efforts to facilitate contacts between businesses and individuals of the two countries.
