PM Shehbaz reaches China to warm red-carpet reception from officials

TIANJIN: Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Tianjin to attend the 25th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit. He was warmly welcomed by Chinese officials upon his arrival.

During his visit, scheduled from August 30 to September 4, the Prime Minister will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang to discuss ways to strengthen Pakistan-China bilateral cooperation.

The visit will also include attending a military parade in Beijing to commemorate the 80th anniversary of China’s role in the World Anti-Fascist War.

In addition to the summit engagements, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will hold talks with prominent Chinese business leaders and corporate executives to explore trade, investment and economic opportunities, while highlighting Pakistan’s stance on regional peace, connectivity and development.
