QUETTA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by Federal Ministers, has arrived in Quetta on a day visit, the PM Office Media Wing said in a press release.
Acting Governor and Speaker Balochistan Assembly Abdul Khaliq Achakzai and Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti received the prime minister, said the press release.
Prime Minister was accompanied by federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Jamal Khan Kakar, member of the national assembly.
The prime minister and Field Marshal Asim Munir will visit the Command and Staff College and will participate in a grand jirga.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, federal and provincial ministers, members of the National and Provincial Assemblies from Balochistan, as well as prominent tribal leaders, will also attend the jirga.
The general state of affairs in Balochistan, with a focus on law and order, will be the Jirga’s main concern. The province will consult and gain the trust of tribal elders and other important stakeholders on a number of pressing issues.
