Rain and thunderstorm forecasted in various parts of country

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has forecasted thunderstorms and hailstorms in various parts of the country in the next two days.

Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region, northeast Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to be partly cloudy with scattered showers and thundershowers at a few places.

Rain is likely in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal and Jhelum.

Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Haripur, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Buner, Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Kohat, and Karak are expected to have heavy rain and hailstorms.

The weather will remain hot and dry in most districts of Balochistan, while the weather is likely to remain hot and dry in most districts of Sindh, including Karachi.

Rescue teams are on high alert in any emergency situation.
