ISLAMABAD: Governments suffering from political instability are forced to bow more to external powers, Muhammad Zubair
Islamabad (ABN News) Senior politician Muhammad Zubair, while speaking on ABN’s program “Sawaal se Age”, said that the Pakistani people have been expressing solidarity with Palestine for decades, and there is intense anger and resentment across the country against Israeli atrocities.

Muhammad Zubair said that the people of Pakistan stand with the oppressed people of Palestine, and the protests and demonstrations in various cities of the country against the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza are proof of this.

According to him, the attachment of the Pakistani people to Palestine is not just emotional but is part of the national consciousness and ideological foundation.

He said that Pakistan has always supported Palestine at every international forum, but now the people want the government to take an unequivocal stand.

“Pakistani youth, students, scholars, and civil society are all active in favor of Palestine,” said Muhammad Zubair. He further said that the sacrifices of the Palestinian people are being paid tribute to in Pakistan, and this relationship spans seven decades. He was speaking on ABN News’ program Debate @ 8. He said that he was talking to them.

“The independence of Palestine is a long-standing dream of the Pakistani people, and the people want to shake the global conscience against Israeli aggression,” Muhammad Zubair criticized the government’s policy and said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s haste has raised many questions. “It is not in the national interest to be the first to accept any project at the behest of the United States,” he said.

According to him, Pakistan’s approach of repeatedly taking the initiative in its foreign policy has proven to be harmful at the global level. He said that the government had to review its position due to public pressure, and the Foreign Minister himself admitted that some points could not be agreed upon.

“Governments suffering from political instability are forced to bow more to external powers.” Muhammad Zubair stressed that Pakistan’s decision-makers should prioritize public sentiment, historical commitment, and principled stance in foreign policy. “The issue of Palestine is not just a matter of foreign policy for Pakistan but also a matter of national pride.”
