Power companies continue offering employees up to 1,300 free units monthly

ISLAMABAD: Electricity company’s employees are being provided with 300 to 1300 units of free electricity per month.

Electricity departments across the country, including employees of DISCOs, GENICOS, NTDC, PITC, and WAPDA, have released details of the free electricity provision to them.

Yesterday, the Senate was informed that how much free electricity is provided to these employees per month, the highest free electricity is 256,500 units per month in IESCO, employees are given free electricity, in these departments, 300 units per month are provided to employees of grades one to four, 600 units to employees of grades five to ten, 600 units to employees of grades 11 to 15 and 600 units to employees of grades 16.

Grade 17 employees are provided with 650 units of electricity, Grade 18 with 700 units, Grade 19 with 1000 units, Grade 20 with 1100 units, while Grades 21 and 22 are provided with 1300 units of free electricity.

According to the data provided to the Senate, 13 companies are provided with 318,445 units of free electricity per month.
