ISLAMABAD: The Power Division has released a report on the restoration of electricity in the flood-affected areas as of September 1.
According to the report, 12 grids and 91 feeders in the PESCO areas of Swat, Banar, Shangla, Swabi, and DI Khan were affected.
Complete restoration of the affected feeders in Swat, Banar, and Shangla is expected in 2 to 7 days. Out of 10 grids and 87 affected feeders of GEPCO, 80 feeders are complete, and 7 are partially restored.
Out of 59 affected feeders in Lahore, Okara, Sheikhupura, Kasur, and Nankana in LESCO, 57 are partially restored; full restoration is expected from September 2 to September 5.
26 grids and 73 feeders of FESCO’s areas of Toba Tek Singh, Faisalabad, Chiniot, Jhang, Sargodha, Mianwali, and DI Khan were affected. Out of the affected feeders of FESCO, 1 feeder has been completely restored, and 72 feeders have been temporarily restored.
114 affected feeders have been temporarily restored in the areas under MEPCO.
The work of complete restoration of the affected feeders will start immediately as soon as the water recedes in the areas under MEPCO.
10 feeders of TESCO’s areas of North Waziristan and Khyber have been affected. 1 feeder of TESCO has been completed, and 4 feeders have been temporarily restored.
2 out of 3 affected feeders of HEZCO’s area of Mansehra have been completely restored. Thus, out of a total of 48 grids and 437 affected feeders, 169 have been completed and 260 have been temporarily restored.
