ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has left for China on a five-day official visit. On the occasion of his departure at Lahore Airport, Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan bid him farewell and expressed his best wishes.
According to sources, important government and diplomatic meetings are expected during the President’s visit to China, in which bilateral relations, economic cooperation and various development projects will be discussed.
The visit is being described as important for further promotion of strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.
The Governor of Punjab said on the occasion that the friendship between Pakistan and China is getting stronger with time and this visit will further improve the relations between the two countries.
In a brief conversation before departure, the President thanked for the good wishes and expressed his determination to make the visit fruitful.
